On August 23rd, the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) hosted the graduation project defence and exhibition - "VJIT Project Design Show 2024." This event allowed engineering students to present their graduation projects and foster connections with enterprises.
The event took place at the Thu Duc Campus
Attending the event were:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President;
- Dr. Ha Minh Tuan - Vice Director of VJIT;
- Dr. Nguyen Van Nhanh - Vice Director of the Institute of Engineering, Head of VJIT Automotive Engineering Technology;
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Director of the Center for Project Design and Innovation.

The Committee was divided into specific groups according to the majors of students
Some outstanding projects were:
- Improving Driver Safety with a Drowsiness Warning System;
- Designing a System for Color Mixing, Capping, Automatic Paint Shaking, and Monitoring Using Mitsubishi PLCs;
- Researching, Designing, and Building Models of Autonomous Cars;
- Level 3 Autonomous Car, etc.
The examiners actively discussed and observed the operation of the students’ projects
Students confidently presented their projects in front of the examiners
Sharing about the entire implementation process of the project "Designing a System for Color Mixing, Capping, Automatic Paint Shaking, and Monitoring Using Mitsubishi PLCs", Mai Van Phu - majoring in Control and Automation Engineering said: “Through the survey, our team found that the Vietnamese paint production lacks optimized automated production. So we decided to implement this topic over the past 4 months. We hope the product will positively enhance productivity, accuracy in color mixing, and safety for operators.”

The graduation project defence helps students gain practical experience
During the project defence, students not only demonstrated their abilities and innovation in project execution but also connected with enterprises, thereby enhancing their career opportunities. VJIT students are believed to accumulate various practical experiences afterwards; consequently, strengthen their professional knowledge ahead of the labor market.
