Discover Your New Home: HUTECH Insights – A meaningful welcome for international students

On March 20, the Discover Your New Home: HUTECH Insights event, organized by the HUTECH Institute of International Education (I-HUTECH) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), warmly welcomed international students, offering them the opportunity to explore, learn, and experience Vietnamese culture.
The event fostered meaningful interactions between HUTECH students and those from Avans University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) and Cergy Paris Université (CYU - France). It also provided profound insights into Vietnam’s history, people, and cultural identity, fostering a deeper appreciation of the country.

The program began with a traditional Vietnamese martial arts performance, showcasing both strength and elegance while leaving a lasting impression on international students. Following this, Ms. Nguyen Vu Thanh Phuong led a Vietnamese culture class, offering valuable insights into the language and unique aspects of Vietnamese traditions.

One of the event’s highlights was the Vietnamese cooking class, where international students learned to prepare traditional dishes. Beyond discovering the rich flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, this activity served as a bridge for cultural exchange, fostering friendships and a deeper appreciation of Vietnam’s culinary artistry. After preparing their dishes, students gathered to enjoy their creations, sharing thoughts on the diversity and richness of Vietnamese food.
