Faculty members receive lucky money from the university
Following the New Year greetings, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thai Van Nam shared updates on current academic policies at HUTECH, including regulations regarding adjunct lecturer profiles, class schedules, course materials, leave and makeup class procedures, grading and assessment methods, final course documentation, and teaching compensation. These updates helped lecturers gain a clearer understanding of academic procedures and better fulfill their responsibilities.
As part of the program, Dr. Nguyen Toan – Founding Council Member and Advisor to the University Leadership – led a seminar titled “Postgraduate Teaching Methods.” He shared insights on learner-centered teaching, outcome-based curriculum design (including goals, learning outcomes, content, methods, materials, assessment forms), integrated teaching methods, competency-based education, and key considerations for postgraduate instruction. He emphasized that the core objective should be to develop learners' knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and that instructors must foster a positive and dynamic learning environment to avoid monotony and rote instruction.
Key insights on teaching methods shared during the seminar
Dr. Nguyen Toan also highlighted the importance of clear learning outcomes in postgraduate programs in Vietnam, noting that beyond knowledge, emphasis should also be placed on graduates’ ability to apply their expertise and demonstrate professional attitudes. Throughout the seminar, he encouraged educators to proactively identify students' needs and challenges and offer timely support and motivation.

This New Year gathering not only brought faculty members together in a warm and festive atmosphere, but also served as a valuable platform for discussing and proposing effective teaching methods to further enhance the quality of postgraduate education at HUTECH in the coming term.
