Tourism and Hospitality Management students embark on flavorful adventure through beverage art workshop

On December 23, students majoring in Restaurant and Catering Services under the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had the opportunity to explore the creative world of beverage art through the workshop “Flavor Journey – Discovering the World of Mixology” held at the Saigon Campus.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Liem and Ms. Truong Thi Le Huyen joined the workshop as guest experts
The event was co-organized with sponsorship from Bien Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company and support from pioneering partners such as Nhat Huong Group—Vietnam’s leading enterprise in the production and distribution of baking and beverage ingredients—and Charles Wembley, a Singapore-based company known for its high-quality F&B solutions and products across the region.
At the event, Mr.Nguyen Quang Liem —BID Manager of Nhat Huong Group, Founder of Party-Run Teabreak, and lecturer at Mixxyland Academy of Professional Bartending—shared his inspiring journey in the F&B industry. From his humble beginnings with a passion for culinary arts to becoming a leading expert, his stories and insights encouraged students to pursue their own passions with confidence and determination.

With 15 years of experience in product research and development, Ms. Truong Thi Le Huyen—R&D Manager at Charles Wembley—offered profound insights into the beverage industry. She shared her continuous creative process, from testing new recipes to staying ahead of market trends. Through her open and sincere approach, she provided practical advice to help students shape clear career goals in the F&B field. In addition to the guest talks, students had the chance to get hands-on experience crafting signature drinks such as smoked peach cinnamon tea, creamy pandan matcha, and toffee cloud. This was an invaluable opportunity for students to sharpen their mixology skills, explore the art of ingredient pairing, and master techniques to create visually appealing and flavorful drinks that reflect the artistry of the craft.

To add even more excitement, a lucky draw with attractive prizes was held during the event. Notably, high-quality ingredients provided by Bien Hoa Sugar, such as liquid cane syrup, black sugar syrup, and Momcooks coconut water, were gifted to students. These thoughtful gifts will surely inspire students to further explore, refine their techniques, and confidently step into the dynamic and promising world of F&B.
