To promote international learning and exchange opportunities while enhancing language proficiency, professional skills, and global integration, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) officially launched the “Cultural Exchange Program with CY Cergy Paris University (CYU, France)”.

Attending the opening were Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President of HUTECH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quyet Thang – Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Mr. Tang Thong Nhan – Vice Dean, Dr. Nguyen Chi Thang – Vice Director of the Institute of International Education, and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong – Vice Director.
Representing CY Cergy Paris University were Mr. Felipe Diaz Marin, Ms. Anne Massicot – faculty members, and a group of CYU students.

At the opening, Dr. Ly Thien Trang and Mr. Felipe Diaz Marin exchanged warm sentiments and expressed their appreciation for this meaningful opportunity for students from both institutions to meet and engage. They emphasized how such exchanges help students build confidence, strengthen international connections, and develop cultural awareness and essential life skills. Student representatives from both HUTECH and CYU also gave presentations introducing their institutions and the current trends in the tourism and hospitality sector in Vietnam and France. These insights helped broaden students' understanding of international industry developments and shaped future career directions.

As a warm gesture of friendship, HUTECH’s Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management presented traditional Vietnamese checkered scarves to the CYU delegation - a symbol of Vietnamese cultural identity and a sign of goodwill between the two institutions.

The atmosphere became even more energetic with a series of cultural and team-building games such as fruit relay, quick hands, and Simon says. These interactive activities not only provided entertainment and physical engagement but also helped foster stronger bonds and develop natural cross-cultural communication skills. In the afternoon, CYU students toured HUTECH’s facilities and joined in the team games alongside HUTECH students.

The cultural exchange program created a vibrant, educational, and enriching space for students. In the coming days, HUTECH and CYU students will continue to take part in various shared activities, including company visits and thematic workshops.
