On March 15, the Institute of Graduate Studies at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) successfully organized the thesis/project defense session for the Master's program in Tourism and Travel Service Management, with the participation of three graduate students. All topics focused on exploring solutions for sustainable tourism development in the context of new socio-economic dynamics.
The academic evaluation committee for this session included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Dinh Nguyen – Vice President of HUTECH; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phuoc Minh Hiep – Saigon International University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Long – Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry; Dr. Tran Thi Trang – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; and Dr. Le Ngo Ngoc Thu – Vice Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies.
The diversity of the evaluation committee ensures integrity and fairness for all graduate students
Three graduate students from HUTECH’s Master’s program in Tourism and Travel Service Management successfully defended their theses/projects before the evaluation committee. Their research topics covered a wide range of key aspects in the tourism sector. In addition to focusing on innovation in tourism products, the studies also delved into the impacts of various factors such as environment, culture, climate, and policy on consumer behavior. Through practical analysis, the students identified both the strengths and limitations of current tourism offerings, and proposed appropriate improvement strategies to help Vietnamese travel enterprises enhance service quality and better meet customer demands.

The evaluation committee posed a number of questions to clarify the research content and offered valuable feedback on research approaches, data analysis methods, and practical applicability. Overall, all three graduate students demonstrated seriousness in conducting their research, with well-structured arguments and a willingness to incorporate constructive feedback to improve their theses. The defense session concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in the students’ academic and research journey.
