HUTECH Architecture student won the first prize of the contest “Green Architecture for Vietnamese student 2019”

Successfully overcoming the competition of 100 projects in the Architecture and Construction Planning major from students of universities in Vietnam, Mr. Phan Nguyen Trong, a student at Faculty of Architecture and Arts of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) won the first prize of the contest “Green Architecture for Vietnamese student 2019” on September 26th, 2019.
The contest was held by Vietnam Institute for Green Urban Research and Development and sponsored by the Ministry of Construction, Vietnam National Real Estate Association, and Vietnam Association of Civil Engineering Environment, Architecture Magazine of Vietnam Association of Architects, International Finance Corporation (IFC) of World Bank Group, and project “Energy Efficiency Improvement in Commercial and High-Rise Residential Buildings in Viet Nam- EECB” of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Currently, Mr. Phan Nguyen Trong is working as a concept architect at Scene Plus Company. He would like to develop his design thinking to build more environmentally friendly construction project.
The award “Green Architecture of Vietnamese student” is selected by criteria such as Sustainable Location, Green Technology, Creativeness, Strength of Materials, Cultural Tradition and Community. The award was a cash prize of VND 10.000.000, a medal, and a merit certificate.
