Follow HUTECH students to travel through ASEAN countries and learn about career opportunities in the tourism industry

On the afternoon of January 19, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a Seminar titled "Opportunities for career advancement in the tourism industry in the period of ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals.” 

The seminar had the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan - Chairman of the Vietnam - Southeast Asia Friendship Association and Mr. Dang Quoc Binh - Director of Landtour Cambodia Co., Ltd. as speakers. On the side of HUTECH, there was the presence of Mr. Bui Trong Tien Bao - Vice Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Mr. Trinh Minh Chanh – Head faculty of the Tourism & Travel Service Management program.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan and Mr. Dang Quoc Binh share a lot about the commercial, socio-economic situation as well as potential opportunities for the tourism industry in ASEAN countries

Besides, the students also saw the performance of traditional national costumes of Southeast Asian countries, experienced traditional games, and discovered the potentials of tourism, cuisine as well as traditional culture.

Taking a tour around the ASEAN region via the seminar, HUTECH students have learned more about the potential tourism market and opportunities for tourism development in this region.
