The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Ho Chi Minh City 2025 officially opened on the afternoon of December 11, bringing together hundreds of talented young programmers, including many contestants from universities in South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

ICPC Asia HCMC 2025 is part of the OLP, OlpAI, Procon, and ICPC 2025 competition series, hosted by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) over five consecutive days from December 8 to 12. This prestigious event is co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Association for Information Processing, the Vietnam National Union of Students, and HUTECH. It is endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
First held in the United States in 1970, the International Collegiate Programming Contest has grown into the world’s largest competitive programming event, attracting tens of thousands of top computer science students from universities around the globe. Vietnam first hosted the ICPC Asia regional round in 2006 at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Hundreds of domestic and international students compete at the ICPC Asia HCMC 2025
This year, HUTECH is honored to serve as one of seven host sites for the ICPC Asia regional qualifiers. Nearly 130 teams with more than 400 contestants are competing, among them over 50 students from leading universities in South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Their presence not only demonstrates the scale of ICPC Asia HCMC 2025 but also creates a vibrant academic environment that reflects strong international integration.
