49 impressive projects of HUTECH students in the poster announcement session "Innovative ideas 2023 - 2nd time"

On the morning of October 20th, the Center for Project Design and Innovation under the Vietnam - Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a session to announce the Poster project "Innovative ideas" 2023 - 2nd edition" with the theme "Application of science and technology in the development of a circular economy" attracting nearly 300 students from participating Faculties/Institutes.

 

After 15 study and research sessions for the Project Design 2 module and 9 sessions for the Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking module, the Poster announcement session was held to create an opportunity for students to display their ideas about products/services. This was also an opportunity for those present to listen to suggestions from qualified  experts.

The announcement session was attended by Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Ngoc Lam - Former Director of the Institute of Electronics, Informatics and Automation Research; Mr. Le Van Cuong - Deputy Head of Creative Movement Development Department, Center for Youth Science and Technology Development, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; and Mr. Pham Nguyen Khang - Managing Director of Meta Square Company Limited.

 

Representatives of HUTECH were: Assoc.Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam - Vice Chairman of the School Council, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Anh - Vice President, MSc. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Permanent Deputy Director of VJIT, Dr. Ha Minh Tuan - Deputy Director, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh - Director of the Center for Project Design and Innovation, Dr. Doan Thi Bang - Deputy Director of the Center, PhD. Nguyen Van Nhanh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Engineering, and Mr. Vo Quoc Dai - Deputy Head of the English Department.
 

The winner among  the projects in the program, with detailed presentations of the topic, including  the exploration of specific causes, the current situation, the operating mechanism, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges,... was the project entitled ". In Ho Chi Minh City, people have the habit of throwing away coffee grounds''. The proposed solution was Co - Co Application (Coffee Collect) which garnered the First Prize. Second prize was claimed by the project "Sea areas polluted by seashells and snail shells" with the solution "Floor tiles using seashells and snail shells as raw materials to replace ground stone”.  The third prize went to the project "In Dong Thap, people exploit lotus leaves and flowers but the lotus stems are being wasted" with the solution "Lotus stem straws - environmentally friendly".

 

The program is not only a place for students to express their innovative ideas, but also an important step in the promotion and development of these potential projects in the future. Hopefully the students' ideas will contribute to the development, innovation and creativity of society.
