HUTECH welcomes and exchanges opportunities to cooperate in postgraduate research programs with Pukyong National University (Korea)

On the morning of October 20th, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had a meeting and worked with professors from Pukyong National University (PKNU), Korea to discuss a Postgraduate cooperation program, which could create suitable conditions for students to participate in studying and to improve their educational level in developed countries like Korea.
Representatives of Pukyong National University attended the meeting with Prof. Jung Won Kyo - Director of Marine Integrated Biomedical Technology Center, National Key Research Institute in Universities, Pukyong National University and GS. Kim Young Mog - Assistant Professor Seok Woo Chan, Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Systems Engineering.
At the meeting, representatives of HUTECH and PKNU exchanged and discussed contents related to research projects in the fields of Aquaculture, Biomedical Engineering, Smart Health Care, etc.
Representatives of both units discussed postgraduate cooperation programs
According to Professor Kim Young Mog, HUTECH and PKNU cooperated comprehensively several years ago. This cooperation provided a very important basis for promoting the implementation of postgraduate training and research programs in the dual degree mode, which was being proposed again by PKNU. Professor Jung Won Kyo said that interdisciplinary research and internationalization are being highly emphasized at PKNU, so this is an opportunity for both sides to jointly carry out scientific projects in the near future.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr Vo Dinh Bay expressed his thanks to the PKNU for trusting and choosing HUTECH as partners in this cooperation. In addition, Assoc.Prof.Dr Vo Dinh Bay emphasized that by means of this dual training method he hoped that the two sides would continue to concretize the learning program in IoT, Data mining, and Machine learning as applied to the fields of Aquaculture, Agriculture, and Food.
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet remarked that PKNU's training and research fields have many similarities with HUTECH, thus providing a foundation that helps the two sides have a long-term relationship. Assoc.Prof. Dr Thai Van Nam expressed his wish that the two sides could actively discuss more details about the postgraduate training program to open up opportunities for graduate students in the fields of engineering science and technology. HUTECH welcomed and exchanged opportunities for cooperation in postgraduate research programs with Pukyong National University (Korea).
The meeting and working session opened up many learning and development opportunities for HUTECH students in the fields of health science and technology.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Luan said that this was the fourth time PKNU professors had returned to HUTECH since 2019 to promote cooperation in scientific research in the fields of health sciences, life sciences, and new technology. She expressed hope that the positive exchange between the two sides would open up postgraduate study opportunities for students and that PKNU would continue to be a reliable partner for upcoming research and technology transfer projects between the two units.
