HUTECH inaugurates R&D Center for AI Drone

On July 15th, the leadership of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Jeonnam State University (South Korea) inaugurated the Center for Training and Research AI Drone at HUTECH Institute of High Technology.
HUTECH and Jeonnam State University (South Korea) jointly inaugurated the AI Drone R&D Center
Based on the joint cooperation agreements, HUTECH and Jeonnam State University established the R&D Center for AI Drone.
At the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice President stated that HUTECH was encouraging research and testing of AI and drone technology at Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park. Therefore, the establishment of the Center would be the foundation for HUTECH to acquire new technology from Jeonnam State University.
Joennam State University also organized a demonstration of drone operation at the event. In addition, HUTECH students also had the opportunity to experience controlling AI Drone devices under the guidance of Joennam State students.
The R&D Center for AI Drone will be an environment for students to study drone technology, meeting the needs of being practiced besides theoretical lessons. In the future, students can develop research and application of drone technology in industry and agriculture.

The cooperation between the two universities provides students with many practical learning and research opportunities
After the inauguration, the representatives of the two universities had a working session to agree on development cooperation. Accordingly, HUTECH and Joennam State University will exchange students by semester, creating opportunities for HUTECH Engineering students to experience learning in a foreign environment.
