HUTECH Startup Wings 2026, an entrepreneurship competition for students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), officially launched on April 20, opening a journey to nurture and accelerate innovative ideas across the University.
Now in its eighth season, the competition continues to evolve with a clear direction. It is becoming a launchpad for projects with strong potential for real world implementation and social impact. Beyond encouraging creative thinking, students are given opportunities to take action by developing projects across key fields such as marketing, finance, technology, engineering, business, education, healthcare, and agriculture.

The competition’s appeal is further strengthened by professional mentorship from reputable partners including the International Innovation Alliance (InnoEx), the Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC), Color Life JSC, Thanh Nien Newspaper Digital Content Center, and Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine. Throughout the competition, students will receive guidance from experienced experts and entrepreneurs. As speakers and mentors, these industry leaders will share insights, provide feedback, and help students refine their ideas into practical, high impact solutions.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Anh, Vice President, emphasized that this year’s competition is part of the University’s 31st anniversary celebration. It promises engaging activities and places strong emphasis on entrepreneurship training for students.
As part of the program, HUTECH signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Innovation Alliance InnoEx, which will serve as a professional partner supporting the competition. This collaboration creates a solid foundation for student startup projects to accelerate and move closer to real world application.

Ms. Le Thi Tuong Vy, Deputy Director of BSSC and a founding council member and Director of Event Communications at InnoEx, highlighted that entrepreneurship competitions serve as effective testing grounds where students gain practical exposure, refine their mindset, and improve their business models toward sustainability.
In a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, University leaders and business representatives officially launched HUTECH Startup Wings 2026 through a symbolic ceremony. The image of the startup sphere reflects a spirit of innovation, connection, and leadership, promising the emergence of many high potential student projects.

As part of the event, students also listened to an inspiring entrepreneurial journey shared by Dr. Vu Van Hoang, Vice President of the Thanh Hoa Entrepreneurs Club in Southern Vietnam, Chairman and CEO of Dai Viet Consulting Design and Investment Construction JSC, and President of the HUTECH Entrepreneurs Club. He emphasized that entrepreneurship does not begin with big ideas, but with strong execution and persistence built over time. Understanding how organizations operate and mastering small tasks are key foundations for creating long term value.

In addition, Mr. Pham Hoang Thai Duong, Founder of Hoa Yeu Thuong and CEO of Color Life, shared practical insights into the core elements of entrepreneurship. For sustainable development, young entrepreneurs need a distinctive idea, a model capable of generating revenue, and a clear focus on addressing real market needs. These factors form the foundation for refining projects and enhancing their potential for growth.
