HUTECH explores training and research collaboration opportunities with Royal Roads University, Canada

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen internationalization and expand global partnerships, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed a delegation from Royal Roads University (RRU), Canada, on June 16 to discuss potential collaboration in education, research, and international engagement.
During the meeting, representatives from RRU provided an overview of the university and its educational model, which emphasizes applied research, practical learning, and sustainable development.

RRU introduces its educational approach and strategic priorities
In discussions with Dr. Philip Steenkamp, President of Royal Roads University, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, shared the University's internationalization strategy as well as its key priorities for academic development and research in the coming years.

HUTECH and Royal Roads University discuss shared visions for international education
Through the exchange, both institutions identified strong alignment in their development strategies, particularly in their commitment to practice oriented education, applied research, sustainable development, and expanding global learning opportunities for students.
Building on these shared priorities, representatives from the two universities explored several potential areas of collaboration, including student and faculty exchange initiatives, joint research activities, curriculum benchmarking, and the development of international academic partnership models that leverage the strengths of each institution.
Discussions open new opportunities for collaboration in education and research
The meeting laid an important foundation for future cooperation between HUTECH and RRU in education, research, and internationalization. Moving forward, both sides will continue discussions on specific collaborative initiatives with the goal of establishing a formal partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding and developing programs that deliver meaningful benefits to students and faculty members alike.
