With the goal of enriching learning opportunities and strengthening career connections for students, the Institute of Educational Cooperation and Development at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a meeting and officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Institute of Applied Psychology - Education (IAPEHCM) on June 18.

The meeting between HUTECH and IAPEHCM opens up new opportunities for collaboration in Psychology
During the meeting, representatives from both institutions discussed future areas of collaboration, with a particular focus on enhancing academic activities for Psychology students. Several initiatives were proposed, including workshops, specialized seminars, career sharing sessions, and opportunities for industry experts to engage directly with students. Through these activities, students will gain access to practical insights, deepen their understanding of the profession, and further develop their professional competencies.

In addition, the two institutions agreed on a collaborative framework for internship supervision across different areas of specialization. With guidance from professionals actively working in the field, students will have greater opportunities to observe real workplace environments, develop practical skills, and gain valuable experience throughout their studies.
Strengthening practice-based learning and professional exposure was a key focus of the discussion
Building on the shared directions discussed during the meeting, HUTECH and IAPEHCM proceeded with the signing of the MoU, outlining several specific areas of cooperation. The two institutions will work together on student recruitment for Psychology studies, develop short-term certificate courses in psychology and education, connect lecturers and industry experts for teaching activities, and provide support for internship consultation, supervision, and access to suitable practical training environments.
The MoU marks the beginning of training, practice, and professional engagement activities between HUTECH and IAPEHCM
Notably, IAPEHCM currently operates a network of facilities and branches equipped with specialized psychological counseling rooms. The institute is also finalizing a professional internship supervision framework that is expected to be launched in early July. This development will provide an important foundation for expanding practical training opportunities, allowing students to gain hands on experience, strengthen their professional skills, and further prepare for their future careers.
