The Department of International Relations and Project Management, in collaboration with the E-Learning Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), held a meeting with doctoral researcher Zsuzsa Barnóczki from John von Neumann University (Hungary) to support her research activities at the HUTECH E-Learning Center under the Pannónia Scholarship Program.
Specifically, the research focuses on digital transformation, education export, and the EdTech ecosystem in Vietnam in general and at HUTECH in particular, with the aim of proposing solutions to strengthen and promote Vietnam-Hungary cooperation in these areas. The research stay will last for two months, from April 9, 2026 to June 9, 2026.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management, provided an overview of HUTECH and emphasized the University’s commitment to internationalization and deeper integration into the global education system. The University continues to expand its network of partners across Europe and Asia, promoting student exchange, international internships, and research collaboration. It also remains ready to welcome international students and researchers, contributing to a more diverse academic environment and enhancing the quality of education.

In addition, Mr. Dao Quoc Huy, Director of the E-Learning Center, presented an overview of the center through its key initiatives. The center is positioned as a pioneer in driving digital transformation in education, focusing on the development of learning management systems, digital learning resources, and the application of artificial intelligence in teaching and academic management. These efforts aim to enhance the learning experience, personalize learning pathways, and expand access to education for learners.

Through her initial exploration, Zsuzsa Barnóczki found that the center’s development orientation aligns closely with her research interests in digital transformation in education and international collaboration. During her research stay, she will focus on digital transformation and opportunities for education export within Vietnam - Hungary cooperation, particularly in relation to higher education partnerships and online learning models.

The research focuses on four main pillars, including analyzing digital transformation trends at Vietnamese universities, clarifying the role of Vietnam - Hungary cooperation, examining the connection between universities and the EdTech ecosystem, and assessing the potential for education export through digital learning solutions.
In addition, Zsuzsa Barnóczki will carry out practical research activities at HUTECH, including interviews with faculty members, students, and staff involved in international cooperation, as well as analysis of education strategies and policies at both institutional and national levels. She will also develop a case study on HUTECH’s digital education model and explore opportunities to expand online education collaboration.

The research outcomes are expected to support the completion of her doctoral dissertation and lay the foundation for long term cooperation between Vietnamese and Hungarian higher education institutions
The results will not only contribute to the completion of her research but also provide valuable policy recommendations, develop representative case studies on digital education at HUTECH, and establish a foundation for long-term collaboration between Vietnamese and Hungarian institutions. In addition, the findings will support universities in shaping strategies for digital transformation and internationalization in the coming years.

Zsuzsa Barnóczki is a project manager, strategy expert, and training specialist with over 17 years of experience in project management, marketing, and adult education. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Management and Business Administration at John von Neumann University (Hungary), focusing on Vietnam Hungary knowledge transfer and AI driven online education. Previously, she held leadership positions at the Central Bank of Hungary and the Várkapitányság organization, while also actively providing consulting and training services in the private sector.
