HUTECH and Portland State University explore flexible international education pathways

In discussions about Master’s programs and blended educational models, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Portland State University (PSU) have begun to outline a flexible study pathway that optimizes costs and expands opportunities for learners to access an international education environment.

At the start of the session, representatives from both universities shared their development directions, educational strengths, and new trends in higher education. Discussions centered on building programs aligned with practical needs, global labor market demands, and the ability to enhance international experiences for learners.

Through the introduction of HUTECH’s educational system, PSU representatives highly appreciated the internationalization strategy the university is pursuing. The similarities in development strategies provide a foundation for both sides to explore areas of collaboration that match each institution’s strengths.

The focus of the meeting was cooperation at the postgraduate level, particularly in the Master of Business Administration and Master of Finance programs. Both sides initially discussed blended educational models aimed at designing flexible study pathways, optimizing costs, and creating conditions for learners to access international education environments.
HUTECH and PSU agreed to maintain connections and hold in-depth exchanges to build suitable cooperation pathways
Beyond academic value, this collaboration is expected to expand opportunities for professional exchange, access to modern teaching methods, and stronger connections between learners and international academic and business networks.
Based on the discussions, HUTECH and PSU agreed to continue maintaining ties and organizing in-depth sessions to develop appropriate cooperation pathways. Programs, academic exchanges, and international education initiatives are expected to gradually take shape, providing more options for study, research, and integration for students and learners at both universities.
