From September 18 to 24, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tuan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), joined a Ho Chi Minh City delegation in a series of professional exchanges and field visits in Chongqing, China.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tuan participated in the research and study program in Chongqing, China
A key activity was the China-Vietnam Youth Dialogue Forum on “Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship” at Chongqing International Bio City. Together with experts and young scientists from Vietnam and China, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tuan exchanged perspectives on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within universities. Discussions focused on practical issues such as bringing research outcomes from laboratories to the market, developing technology incubation ecosystems for students, and strengthening connections between universities, investment funds, and technology companies.
The professional exchanges continued through field visits to technology and manufacturing facilities across Chongqing. At Zongshen Industrial Group, the delegation explored automation and supply chain operations. Visits to Guoyuan Port and Changan Automobile’s Smart & Digital Factory and Global R&D Center offered further insights into new materials, smart infrastructure, digital manufacturing, and research and development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tuan shared the practical insights gained from the program
“Following in President Ho Chi Minh’s footsteps in Chongqing was a great honor and gave the younger generation further motivation to strive in our professional work. At the same time, firsthand experiences with digital transformation, materials technology, robotics, and the ‘Government - University - Enterprise’ collaboration model offered many new ideas for teaching and research. These experiences will serve as valuable resources for enhancing lectures, shaping research directions, and inspiring innovation among HUTECH students in the future,” shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Tuan after the program.
