Building on shared strengths in education and research, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Mountain Province State University (MPSU), Philippines, explored potential areas of cooperation to expand academic exchanges, share expertise, and develop international educational activities.
The meeting was jointly organized by the Faculty of Finance and Commerce and the Department of International Relations and Project Management
At the start of the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management, provided an overview of HUTECH, the scope of its educational offerings, and its internationalization strategy, helping both institutions identify promising areas for cooperation.

Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Tung, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce, then introduced the faculty and its five degree programs: Accounting, Finance and Banking, Commercial Business, E-Commerce, and Financial Technology. The faculty emphasizes practical learning, keeps its curricula aligned with emerging trends, and creates opportunities for students to broaden their academic experience.

Representatives from MPSU introduced its College of Accountancy, Business Management, and Information Technology, along with programs in accounting, business administration, information technology, and office administration. These presentations helped both sides gain a clearer understanding of each institution’s strengths and identify areas where they could complement one another and develop joint initiatives.

Building on their educational strengths, the two institutions discussed student activities, including short-term programs, study visits, and international learning experiences. These proposed activities could give students opportunities to explore new educational environments, connect with peers, and deepen their subject knowledge.

The discussions also covered cooperation in teaching and research. Guest lectures, conferences, panel discussions, workshops, and professional exchanges were proposed as ways for faculty members from both universities to share knowledge. The two sides also explored opportunities for joint research projects, seminars, academic conferences, and co-authored publications.
