HUTECH to hold Hackademics on 1st and 2nd of August, 2015
Hackademics is a competition in which programmers show their skill in developing web, mobile or PC based programs within 2 days. The purpose of the event is to encourage creativeness and variety among wisdom products in education. Groups with better ideas and well completed products shall be awarded with attractive prizes: a chance to visit Fresco Capital building, meeting Hong Kong “startupers”, training with Platform5 Launch Kit or Swivl Robot – a robot assistant. As part of Hackademics, Pitch Café is where participants with ready – made products present their idea. There is no prize in this part; however, participants will get a chance of real funding from venture firms.

HUTECH students from IT Faculty got high- value prizes in many competitions
The name “Hackademics” is formed up by “Hackathon” (a programing contest) and “Academics”. The event welcomes all programing enthusiast including students, workers, expert software designers, etc. In this competition, HUTECH will take part in with 3 groups occupying 8 of 100 members in limit These 100 members will be divided into groups, working continuously within 32 hours; afterwards, they will present their product and idea to the judge. The judge of the competition includes remarkable names in Startup field such as Mrs. Allison Baum – Manager of Fresco Capital, Mr. Edward Thai – CEO of Vietnam Accelerator Fund, Mr. Lam Thanh Nguyen- Vice-President and Chief Secretary of Vietnam Digital Communication Association, Mrs. Thuy Ngoc Tu Ngo – Co-founder of Yola, Mr. Hong Truong Nguyen – Vice-President of Vietnam IDG Ventures, Dr. Minh Tuan Pham – Founder and CEO of Topica Edtech Group, Mr. Taiki Dang – Information Technology Architect. Dr. Xuan Hoang Viet Nguyen, Vice-President represents HUTECH as one of the judges. The competition is named after its founder, a non - profit organization of youngsters working in IT and Education in Japan.

By Vietnam Hackademics, the organization hopes to create an interesting playground where young programing lovers could benefit from. Moreover, by this competition, participants may have a career chance with the event’s sponsors, an opportunity to study or to work in Japan.
