HUTECH Architecture student enters Top 20 of Tamayouz International Award

Sucessfully overcoming the competition of hundreds of international graduation projects in the Architecture major, Nguyen Minh Kha – a student of the Architecture and Arts Faculty – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) officially claimed a position in the Top 20 of the Tamayouz for International Graduation Projects 2018 award.
 
As an international award for graduation projects of students majored in architecture – civil engineering all over the world, the Tamayouz Award is approved by famous international judges such as Dame Zaha Hadid (foudner of Zaha Hadid Architects), Jane Duncan (president of Royal Institute of British Architects – RIBA) and Angela Brady (former president of RIBA)... Not only is it for selecting potential talents in international architecture and civil engineering, the Tamayouz Award is also a forum for introducing excellent architecture examples for debates, helping young architects and scholars with opportunities to share knowledge and experiences.

The Tamayouz Award 2018 received the participation of students from 74 countries
 
This year, the Award received 587 projects from students of 168 universities and colleges from 74 countries and territories over the world. With the position in the Top 20, Nguyen Minh Kha did not only make HUTECH proud, but also helped making a Vietnamese impression on the international community as one of the two winners in Top 20 (the other coming from the Hanoi Architectural University).

To other HUTECH architecture students, Nguyen Minh Kha is an “award hunter” with many impressive achievements. He won the first place in the FAT2017 contest (The public toilet design contest organized by the University of Civil Engineering and ActionAid Vietnam's "Action for Change - Safe City for Women and Girls" program); entered Top 10 Design and Architecture 2017 - Housing Solutions for Disaster Areas of ToTo, awarded by the famous architect Shigeru Ban; he was also one of the HUTECH representative to participate in the 2018 National Architect Student Festival...

At the moment, Minh Kha’s project is one of 6 HUTECH representatives to participate in the Loa Thanh 2018 Award – the National Award for architecture, construction planning and civil engineering students. May Minh Kha continues to reach great achievements in his study and future career.

The official results of the Tamayouz Award 2018 is planned to be announced at the end of October 2018.
