Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) recently welcomed and held a working session with Tongmyong University of Korea to exchange views on potential directions for collaboration, with a particular focus on K-Beauty and international academic pathways.
Representatives of the two universities discussed plans to develop and implement a K-Beauty curriculum in the field of aesthetic technology following a 2 plus 2 model, with two years of study at HUTECH and two years at Tongmyong University. The discussion also considered the feasibility of developing the curriculum under a franchise model involving the transfer of curriculum content, teaching materials, instructional methods, and quality assurance systems.
The working session took place on February 2
Discussions focused on curriculum design, expected learning outcomes, academic compatibility between the two institutions, the balance between theory and practice, as well as regulations on student transfer, credit recognition, and degree recognition.
The two sides also explored recruitment strategies for the joint pathway, highlighting the role of partner networks, educational recruitment representatives, and multi-channel communication activities. The aim is to broaden learner access, strengthen pathway visibility, and attract a strong pool of prospective students in the coming period.
