HUTECH launches MIS course and signs strategic partnership with VTI Academy

In the context of rapid technological advancement, digital transformation has become an inevitable requirement, creating an urgent demand for a workforce capable of adapting to and mastering information systems in organizations.
Recognizing this trend, the Faculty of Management Information Systems at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the launch ceremony for the MOOC course “Applying MIS in the Digital Transformation Era,” while also signing a cooperation agreement with VTI Academy, a training and human resource development center under VTI Group.

The event marks a step forward in the University’s direction to innovate its educational model, expanding its reach beyond students to serve the broader community, particularly businesses undergoing digital transformation.

The course offers practical value to learners through a flexible MOOC format that allows learning anytime and anywhere, suitable for both students and working professionals. The content focuses on providing foundational knowledge while guiding career development through a combination of professional expertise and essential skills in a business environment. The program also enhances data analysis capabilities, supports data driven decision making, and expands access to practice-oriented learning opportunities through collaboration between the University and industry partners.
Within the framework of the partnership, VTI Academy will collaborate with HUTECH to develop and deliver the MIS course with a strong emphasis on practical application and alignment with market demands. The enterprise will contribute to content development, update knowledge and skills, and directly participate in teaching. This approach helps improve training effectiveness, narrow the gap between theory and practice, and enable learners to adapt early to professional working environments.

The signing ceremony took place during the event, marking the beginning of the partnership between the two sides. This serves as a foundation for implementing practice-oriented training activities aimed at improving the quality of human resources and meeting the growing demands of the technology labor market.

Introducing the enterprise, Mr. Nguyen Quyet, Director of VTI Education at VTI Group, shared that the organization focuses on three main areas: IT Services and Solutions, Human Resources, and Education and Training. Among these, VTI Academy serves as the group’s information technology training arm, supported by a diverse service ecosystem and an operational network across Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea.

In addition, Mr. Dao Quoc Huy, Director of the E-Learning Center, introduced the HUTECH eLearning system, an integrated learning environment that enables class organization, learning material management, assignment delivery, and flexible progress tracking. This platform will be used to implement the MIS course, making learning more flexible and no longer constrained by space or time.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Nguyen Trung Kien, Vice President of the University, stated that HUTECH identifies digital transformation as one of its key directions in education, aiming to build a modern digital university model grounded in lifelong learning. The University has currently deployed more than 300 online courses on its LMS platform, enabling teaching delivery, learning material storage, and progress tracking. This allows students to proactively access knowledge and gradually develop their competencies in a digital environment.
