On April 22, the Department of International Relations and Project Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a meeting with UQ College at The University of Queensland to discuss directions for collaboration in education research and international offerings.
During the meeting, both sides shared their academic strengths and development priorities, with a focus on enhancing the quality of human resources in a global education landscape that increasingly values flexibility and international integration. As a member of The University of Queensland (Australia), UQ College delivers English language courses and university preparation and pathway offerings that equip international students with the academic foundation needed for studying in an international university environment.

The discussion focused on specific areas of collaboration, most notably plans to implement short-term exchange activities for faculty staff and students. English language enhancement courses at UQ are designed with flexible delivery formats including in person, online or blended learning, allowing participants to develop their skills in an international setting. Student exchange opportunities were also proposed to broaden learning experiences and provide exposure to a multicultural academic environment.
In the academic area, both sides explored the potential for joint research by building on their respective strengths, with the aim of enhancing scientific value and practical application. In addition, the possibility of developing international pathway options was considered to expand overseas study opportunities for HUTECH students.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to move forward with the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the near future, providing a foundation for long-term collaboration

Notably, HUTECH is also considering inviting Dr. Daniel Chin, Senior Manager Business Development at UQ College, to participate as a guest speaker at upcoming seminars and workshops, where he is expected to share insights on student employability in a global context.
