HUTECH strengthens international experiential learning programs with Asia School of Business

A training model that places learners directly in charge of solving real business challenges across ASEAN countries became a key highlight of the working session between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Asia School of Business, opening up promising opportunities for collaboration in practical education and global experiential learning.

With more than 40,000 students and a network of over 200 partners across 32 countries, HUTECH is actively advancing its internationalization strategy through English medium instruction, joint academic initiatives, student exchange programs, and global internship opportunities regularly implemented across the university. Its achievement of being ranked 287th globally in the Quacquarelli Symonds, along with a wide range of academic collaborations, has further reinforced the university’s development direction within the modern higher education landscape.

During the discussion, representatives from ASB introduced its postgraduate business education model closely connected with real world industry practice. Through this model, learners participate directly in real business projects and work on challenges currently faced by companies in different countries.

Building on their shared focus on applied education, the two institutions discussed the potential implementation of “Business Immersion” and “Action Learning” programs in Vietnam for international learners. Participants would gain direct exposure to Vietnam’s business environment through market research activities, company visits, and practical consulting projects. Internship connection programs, along with initiatives related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise development, were also identified as highly promising areas for future collaboration.

HUTECH representatives also shared their experience in organizing experiential learning programs, short-term courses, and internship initiatives with partners from Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, India, and many other countries. Based on this foundation, both sides continued discussions on jointly organizing activities that would allow students and learners to visit businesses, industrial parks, financial institutions, technology companies, and community development models across Vietnam.
