As the distance between universities around the world continues to narrow, international academic partnerships have increasingly become a measure of a modern university’s global integration capacity and long-term development vision.
With this direction in mind, on May 8, the Department of International Relations and Project Management of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with Griffith University to discuss potential collaboration in education, scientific research, and the development of international academic programs.

Opening the meeting, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, presented an overview of the university’s multidisciplinary education model, ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate levels, along with its extensive international partner network across many countries. The university’s achievements in quality accreditation, international rankings, and scientific research were also highlighted as evidence of its strategy toward deeper global integration.

She also emphasized several international activities that have been effectively implemented, including student exchange programs, English medium courses, international internship programs, and interdisciplinary academic conferences. These initiatives are considered an important foundation for helping students gain access to a global learning environment while still at university, while also enhancing their competitiveness in the international labor market.
Representatives from Griffith University also shared notable highlights of the institution’s education and research activities in Australia, particularly in the fields of business, technology, engineering, health sciences, environmental studies, and sustainable development. These disciplines all play an important role in current global development trends and reflect Griffith University’s long standing educational approach centered on practical application and innovation.
