Faculty of Korean Studies and ACE VINA discuss practice-oriented curriculum development

Recently, the Faculty of Korean Studies at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a meeting with representatives of ACE VINA to explore cooperation in education, curriculum development, and opportunities for students to gain access to emerging technologies.
 
During the meeting, Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu, Dean of the Faculty of Korean Studies, and Mr. Seo Yong Jae, representative of ACE VINA, discussed future directions for collaboration. Particular emphasis was placed on developing highly practical educational initiatives that align with current industry needs and digital transformation trends. The two sides also exchanged ideas on designing curricula that suit the educational environment as well as students’ characteristics and learning needs.

Among the topics discussed was a phased implementation plan for the proposed training initiatives. The programs are expected to be piloted within selected affiliated units to assess their effectiveness before broader deployment. At the same time, both parties explored the development of a specialized computer studies curriculum for Korean Studies students with a strong practical focus to support their future work in international environments.
 
In addition, in response to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), the participants agreed on the importance of integrating AI related courses and learning components into academic programs. The IT COMTOR program is also expected to undergo innovation, with greater emphasis on computer proficiency and technology applications. This is regarded as an important step toward strengthening students’ professional competencies and competitiveness in an era of accelerating digital transformation.
