HUTECH partners with industry to expand practical learning opportunities in Beauty Technology

As the demand for beauty and wellness services continues to grow, Beauty Technology is opening up a wide range of career opportunities for young professionals. However, success in this field requires more than classroom learning. Students need practical skills, hands on experience, and the ability to keep pace with evolving industry demands.
With a strong commitment to practice-oriented education, the Institute of Applied Sciences at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the “Signing Ceremony for Human Resource Development Cooperation in Beauty Technology” on June 5, bringing together leading businesses in the beauty, wellness, and aesthetic industries.
At the event, the Institute signed cooperation agreements with six partners, including Canary Training Services Trading Production Joint Stock Company, Hello Kpremium Company Limited, Ngoc Dung Aesthetic Company Limited, Thanh Truc Medical Beauty Equipment Company Limited, World Nail Company Limited, and My Dinh Service and Trading Company Limited.

The participation of these businesses will help ensure that the Beauty Technology curriculum remains closely aligned with market demands while continuously incorporating emerging service trends, technological innovations, and professional standards currently applied in the industry.
Through this partnership network, students will have greater access to professional working environments, field visits, practical training opportunities, networking sessions with industry experts, and insights into recruitment requirements while still pursuing their studies. This serves as an important foundation for HUTECH to develop a workforce of Beauty Technology professionals equipped with strong expertise, practical skills, professional ethics, and the readiness to meet the growing demands of the modern beauty industry.

In addition to the signing ceremony, students participated in a special seminar titled “Beauty Technology: Making the Right Choice or Following Trends?”, presented by Dr. Truong Thi Ngoc Buu, Specialist Level I in Dermatology and Professional Director of HISKIN CLINIC.

Drawing on her extensive experience in dermatology and non-surgical aesthetic treatments, the speaker offered insights into the rapid development of the beauty industry in the digital era. Students gained a deeper understanding of the opportunities created by modern beauty technologies, as well as the influence of media and social networking trends on consumer beauty decisions.
To provide participants with a more comprehensive understanding of the profession, the speaker introduced fundamental knowledge related to skin structure, the aging process, and the operating principles of widely used technologies such as laser treatments, radiofrequency (RF), high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), RF microneedling, mechanical rejuvenation methods, and both injectable and non-injectable active ingredients.

Notably, Dr. Truong Thi Ngoc Buu emphasized that the selection of an appropriate beauty technology should always be based on individual needs and each client’s specific characteristics. Her insights encouraged students to approach the beauty industry from a more scientific perspective, carefully balancing trends, effectiveness, and safety considerations before applying technology in professional practice.
