HUTECH IT Open Day 2025 – Seize opportunities, launch your career in the digital age

With over 60 companies offering more than 5,000 attractive job opportunities, the HUTECH IT Open Day 2025 – IT Job Fair and Expo, held this morning (April 4) at the Thu Duc Campus, has become a dynamic career bridge for HUTECH IT students to land their dream jobs in the digital age.
The event is an annual initiative organized by the HUTECH Faculty of Information Technology, in collaboration with the Management Board of the Saigon Hi-Tech Park, the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), the Vietnam IT Outsourcing Alliance (VNITO), the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), the Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA), and various tech corporations and companies. It offers a platform for students from HUTECH and other universities and colleges across Ho Chi Minh City and nearby areas to meet with recruiters and apply for suitable positions.

Speaking at the event’s opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Vice President of HUTECH – expressed his sincere appreciation to the participating agencies, associations, and companies. He emphasized that, over the past 30 years, HUTECH has educated generations of students who now play active roles in the economy and are highly regarded by employers. He noted that events like this not only help students and the university better understand labor market needs but also enhance preparation for the future. He also expressed his hope for continued strong collaboration between HUTECH and its business partners, aiming to cultivate a skilled workforce that contributes meaningfully to society.

Commenting on the growing demand for IT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Cuong – Vice Director of the Management Board of the Saigon Hi-Tech Park – emphasized that information technology plays a pivotal role in shaping the future. In today’s digital era, IT serves not only as a tool but also as a catalyst for development across multiple sectors, fundamentally transforming how society functions. He highlighted that Vietnam is prioritizing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of national progress. Within this context, the IT sector and its students are seen as vital sources of high-quality talent. He also acknowledged HUTECH’s 30-year journey and over two decades of IT education, recognizing it as a reputable and trusted institution in the field.

At the event, students from Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Management Information Systems confidently showcased their skills and sought out promising roles across a variety of positions, including Database Administrator, Network Administrator, Cybersecurity Engineer, Network Engineer, Information Security Specialist, IT HelpDesk, Project Manager, Network Security Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Backend Developer, Mobile Developer, Fullstack Developer, and internship positions.
In addition to experiencing the excitement of live interviews, students gained valuable insights from recruiters on the necessary skills and expectations for entering the workforce. These interactions helped boost their confidence and readiness for future careers. Notably, many students made a strong impression on employers and received attractive job offers on the spot.

Students confidently showcased their skills and pursued attractive opportunities across various role
Pham Khanh Duy, a fourth-year IT student with aspirations to become a Business Analyst at AWS – Amazon Web Services and Cybersoft Technology & Programming Co., Ltd., came to the event well-prepared. Equipped with soft skills gained and practiced during his studies, a polished CV, and solid expertise in data-related areas, he saw the event as a valuable opportunity. For him and his peers, it offered a chance to sharpen their communication and interpersonal skills in real-world settings and explore potential workplaces that align with their goals.

Mr. Dang Thanh Thang, Director of the ITS Center at Sharp Vietnam, praised HUTECH students for their performance at the event. He shared that the company has already hired many HUTECH graduates for roles in software development at ITS and noted their strong skills, positive attitudes, and quick adaptability to company policies and procedures.

Alongside the recruitment interviews, HUTECH IT Open Day 2025 also offered an engaging academic space with a variety of exciting activities, including the seminar “AI Assistant Expert in Agriculture,” which provided insights into AI, Web3, and Blockchain by experts from Viet Nam Silicon and GFI. The event also featured exhibitions of new technology products and solutions from companies like CellphoneS, Mobile World JSC, and Di Dong Viet, as well as model car racing and Esports competitions. These activities introduced students to emerging platforms and inspired them to explore and pursue their career passions.

Expanding its partnerships with businesses, HUTECH signed cooperation agreements with 12 companies during the opening ceremony. These included Dieu Phuc Technology Trading & Services Co., Ltd. (CellphoneS), IVS JSC, Tan Binh Cultural JSC, the Ho Chi Minh City branch of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, HDBANK, SCC Vietnam IT Expert Center, Cybersoft Technology & Programming Co., Ltd., Viet Solutions Co., Ltd., Urban Vietnam Co., Ltd., Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam Co., Ltd., Golden Financial Innovation Co., Ltd., and Vietnam Silicon Co., Ltd. This initiative aims to create more learning and career opportunities for students, in line with the university's strategy of practice-oriented education.

As part of the event, more than VND 100 million in scholarships were awarded to students, including Talent Scholarships and Academic Encouragement Scholarships from IVS JSC, SCC, Cybersoft, Mi Mi Informatics, and Sharp Vietnam. These scholarships serve as meaningful encouragement for students to continue improving their knowledge and skills and prepare to become outstanding contributors to society.
