On September 29, the Department of International Relations and Project Management of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with the delegation from the University of San Carlos (USC, Philippines), aiming to exchange information, explore academic offerings, teaching methodologies, and internationalization strategies, as well as expand cooperation opportunities between the two institutions.

In the introduction, HUTECH representatives shared the university’s internationalization strategy in education. Current academic programs integrate elements of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhancing interdisciplinarity and practical application for younger generations. Many academic programs have achieved international accreditation, affirming the university’s quality and credibility. The university also regularly organizes academic, research, and international exchange activities, creating a dynamic environment for students and faculty.
USC also provided an overview of the university, a long-standing higher education institution with outstanding achievements in teaching and research, and a frequently ranked in prestigious international rankings. This provides a strong foundation for the two sides to pursue meaningful cooperation directions in the future.

During the session, HUTECH and USC discussed and agreed on several concrete cooperation directions. Key areas include joint research projects, student and faculty exchange activities, academic development, as well as implementing the “visiting lecturer” model at HUTECH, aiming to improve training quality and broaden international experiences for both students and faculty.

Notably, the leadership of both universities agreed to move toward signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future, laying the foundation for long-term collaborative projects. The collaboration will help HUTECH and USC carry out practical initiatives to improve education quality, strengthen research, and expand international engagement.
