On November 27, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held an official working session with the senior leadership delegation from Tongmyong University in Korea.
The meeting was part of the delegation’s visit and exchange activities at HUTECH from November 26 to 30. The purpose was to expand cooperation in education, student exchange and scientific research.

The key focus of discussion was the development of a student exchange initiative in the field of Beauty Technology. Under the shared direction, HUTECH students will have the opportunity to study in a high quality learning environment at Tongmyong University and gain hands on experience in Korea’s rapidly growing beauty industry. The exchange is expected to open the door to an international learning environment and help students strengthen their skills, mindset and adaptability in response to the evolving demands of the modern beauty sector.

Both sides also agreed to broaden cooperation by organizing specialized workshops and seminars on makeup, beauty techniques and emerging global aesthetics trends. The implementation of short-term courses and international certificate programs was considered feasible and aligned with current educational needs. Through these programs, students will be exposed to professional training standards from Korea, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources in beauty, cosmetics and wellness.
In terms of expanding cooperation, the two universities also discussed the potential for developing joint initiatives in business, logistics and maritime transport. Given Tongmyong University’s location in Busan, the second largest port city in Korea, the opportunity for collaboration is seen as highly promising and suitable for further development. Joint scientific research projects were also highlighted, especially in applied cosmetics and beauty technology.
Both sides agreed to continue strengthening their partnership toward sustainable and comprehensive development
At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to building a long term and well-rounded partnership. Mr. Kyung Su Greg Kang stated that HUTECH is Tongmyong University’s number one strategic partner in Vietnam and expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and productive working spirit. HUTECH representatives also expressed the desire to maintain this strong relationship and move toward more concrete collaborative initiatives in the future.
