VJIT delegation works with academic and industry partners in Japan

To strengthen international cooperation, the delegation from the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) visited several academic and corporate partners in Japan. The delegation included Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Director of VJIT, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, Vice Director of the HUTECH Japanese Language Center.
 
At the beginning of the trip, the delegation met with the leadership of TOA Kogyo and learned about the company’s history, development strategy, and advanced technologies. TOA Kogyo is a leading technology corporation in Japan with ten factories and more than one thousand two hundred employees. The company specializes in automotive components, housing materials and structures, and international business. It is known for its high strength steel processing technology and the production of suspension and chassis components that meet safety standards. The delegation also toured the production lines and met three VJIT students currently interning at the company. The students shared updates on their internship progress and their living and learning experiences in Japan.

The VJIT representatives then met with Kanazawa Institute of Technology to review ongoing cooperation activities, including the SRI Innovation Course. Both sides also discussed expanding student exchange programs, transfer opportunities, and study pathways in Japan.

Later that day, the delegation worked with Musashino Holdings, a long standing partner of HUTECH in hosting student interns. The corporation operates in various fields such as food and beverage services, food processing plants, hotels and resorts, golf courses, real estate, and accommodations. Representatives of the group shared information about the company’s support ecosystem for international students, which helps them study, work, and live comfortably in Japan.

During the meeting with Aomori University, both sides discussed several new directions for collaboration. These include short term programs for HUTECH students at both the Tokyo Campus and the Aomori Campus, academic exchange activities, and expanded internship and career opportunities for students in Information Technology and Business Administration. The two institutions also emphasized plans to strengthen faculty exchange and professional development. Aomori University expressed its desire to build a long-term partnership with HUTECH, especially in international education, cultural exchange, and support for Vietnamese students in Japan and Japanese students in Vietnam.

The delegation also visited Aoyama Japanese Language School in Tokyo, which provides formal Japanese language training for international students. The two sides discussed training programs, support policies, and collaboration opportunities in developing language skills and career guidance for HUTECH students.

The recent working trip of the VJIT delegation helped strengthen cooperation in training, research, and career opportunities with educational institutions and corporate partners in Japan. These efforts contribute to HUTECH’s broader strategy for the internationalization of education.
