In a time when international integration is taking center stage, cross border academic exchange has become an essential trend in higher education.

Reaching global knowledge through borderless academic forums at HUTECH
By hosting and organizing numerous international scientific conferences and large-scale academic forums, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has gradually affirmed its academic standing and its capacity for integration within the global education landscape.
Moving beyond closed and linear research approaches, today’s international academic forums promote multidimensional exchange among scholars across diverse fields. This cross-national academic interaction helps clarify and deepen core issues while expanding access to knowledge in the context of increasingly interdisciplinary scientific development.
With a focus on interdisciplinary and application-oriented academic forums, HUTECH prioritizes organizing scholarly activities centered on pressing issues of contemporary society. The presented papers are carefully prepared, ensuring both academic depth and practical value.
GSETS 2025 brings together nearly 300 international scientists for discussion
Among these highlights is the second International Conference on Green Solutions and Emerging Technologies for Sustainability (GSETS) 2025. The conference brought together nearly 300 scientists and researchers from countries including the United States, India, Italy, Australia, China, South Korea, and Japan, with more than 170 papers submitted. Presentations were delivered across two plenary sessions, three parallel sessions, and one poster exhibition session, creating a vibrant and in-depth academic exchange environment.
Discussions focused on three key thematic areas: advanced materials and green manufacturing technologies; solutions and technologies for sustainable development; and data science and artificial intelligence in support of sustainability goals. The collection of papers offered valuable scientific insights, providing practical support for research, teaching, and knowledge transfer.
ISVS 14 creates an in-depth academic forum on architecture linked to heritage, local culture, and contemporary design
In the field of architecture and design, HUTECH collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Design Association VDAS to organize ISVS 14 under the theme Understanding Heritage, Local Culture, and Engagement in Design. The conference received 112 scientific papers from authors representing seven countries and territories, with participation from 25 domestic universities and research institutes.
The presentations highlighted architectural approaches grounded in heritage and indigenous knowledge, while also raising professional questions about the role of architects in balancing preservation, collective memory, and contemporary development needs. Many outstanding papers left a strong academic impression, contributing to the expansion of architectural initiatives connected to local culture and identity.
ICOMMA 2025 opens an international academic space for modern mechanics and applications in the industry 4.0 era
Alongside forums in architecture and design, the engineering and technology fields were further enriched through the second International Conference on Modern Mechanics and Applications (ICOMMA 2025). The conference attracted around 200 international scientists, experts, and doctoral researchers, with a diverse set of presentations spanning four plenary sessions and twelve specialized sessions. These contributions offered a wide range of research perspectives and practical innovations for Mechanics 4.0.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Canh, Vice President of HUTECH, shared: “Continuously hosting and organizing international scientific conferences and forums reflects the recognition and trust of the academic community in HUTECH’s organizational, coordination, and academic networking capabilities. More importantly, this is how the University creates open knowledge spaces where research, education, and learners come together within a truly integrated academic ecosystem.”

Alongside scientific forums for researchers, international academic competitions are gradually becoming important practice platforms for students in the integration process. Here, knowledge is not only received in a one-way manner but is tested, applied, and developed through competitive experiences in a global academic environment.
In line with this orientation, HUTECH has made a strong mark by successfully hosting a series of national and international academic competitions, including the 34th Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad OLP’25, the First Vietnam Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad OlpAI’25, Procon Vietnam, and the ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City 2025 International Collegiate Programming Contest.
Hosting multiple competitions that meet international standards at the same time demonstrates the University’s professional organizational capacity while affirming HUTECH’s role within the ecosystem of high-quality information technology human resource development.
HUTECH affirms its capacity to host international standard academic competitions
The competition series took place over several consecutive days, featuring both individual and team categories and covering areas such as algorithmic programming, artificial intelligence, competitive programming, and application development on open data platforms under time constraints. The problem structures were designed to closely align with international standards, requiring contestants to possess strong foundational knowledge, systematic thinking, teamwork skills, and the ability to make decisions under high pressure.
Within this series, the ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City 2025 International Collegiate Programming Contest stood out as HUTECH was selected as one of the official host sites for the Asia regional qualifiers. The contest brought together Vietnamese teams alongside students from leading universities in South Korea, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, focusing on core challenges in algorithms, data structures, and big data processing. The results identified outstanding teams that earned the right to advance to the ICPC Asia Pacific Championship, on the path toward the ICPC World Finals 2026.

Future Frame Celebration Week offers a contemporary perspective on film technology and digital media
Expanding the academic space into the field of digital creativity, Future Frame Celebration Week, a technology focused film week, delivered valuable international connections for HUTECH students. The event brought together many renowned and respected experts, including Oscar winning sound engineer Michelle Couttolenc, who offered students hands on insights into integrating technology into film production and digital media. These interactions enable young learners to engage early with the latest technological trends that are reshaping the creative industries.
