International integration in education is no longer a trend but an essential requirement.

HUTECH students gain global perspectives from international experts
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), academic exchange with international experts is identified as a key component of the University’s education internationalization efforts. With an increasingly extensive network of partners, HUTECH regularly connects with experienced experts, scholars, and researchers from developed countries. Students have the opportunity to access global knowledge and listen to multidimensional analyses of differences in thinking, learning approaches, and research practices between Vietnam and other countries, right on campus.
For example, at the workshop themed “Making of The Statue of Unity: A Marvel of Modern Indian Engineering,” students were guided by Dr. Nipa A. Desai, Director of Sigma Institute of Engineering in India. She led students through a comprehensive overview of the construction process of the 182-meter-tall Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue, while also exploring engineering solutions designed to ensure structural stability under harsh natural conditions.

In addition to academic discussions, a hands-on paper tower building activity allowed students to directly experience factors related to center of gravity, structural stability, and material behavior. The balanced integration of theory and practice created a dynamic learning experience, enabling students to engage with engineering standards, project implementation experience, and modern design thinking that are widely applied around the world.
At a separate forum on building early entrepreneurial capacity, the participation of young entrepreneurs from the technology startup ecosystem in the United States helped students gain exposure to global entrepreneurial thinking. Students gained clearer insights into idea formation, fundraising, product development, and adaptation to an internationally competitive environment.

The experts emphasized that innovation truly takes shape when young people dare to question, dare to experiment, and remain committed to their ideas. The core values of the startup environment lie in speed, focus, and a hands-on mindset that drives continuous product improvement. This requires individuals to accept risk, view mistakes as part of progress, and constantly push beyond their own limits.
Many other topics were also addressed, including the impact of artificial intelligence on media, education diplomacy, sustainable health, and community education, as well as trends in sustainable transportation. Together, these discussions opened up a multidimensional dialogue space, helping students stay updated on global issues while gaining a deeper understanding of the role of interdisciplinary knowledge in addressing the challenges of modern society.
Students build essential knowledge and skills to adapt to a multicultural environment
Beyond academic value, exchange programs with international experts also help HUTECH students enhance their foreign language proficiency in professional communication, while developing presentation and teamwork skills. These are essential foundations for adapting to international standards of education and the global workplace.
