HUTECH discusses cooperation in Esports with Krafton delegation from the Republic of Korea
From this practical context, on 30 January, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with a delegation from Krafton, a leading game publisher and developer in the Republic of Korea. The meeting opened up meaningful professional discussions related to Sports Management in general and Esports Management in particular.
During the session, HUTECH representatives introduced an overview of the University’s establishment, development orientation, and academic offerings, with a focus on disciplines closely linked to sports, technology, and the creative industries. On the partner side, Krafton shared key information about the company, which was founded in 2018 on the foundation of Bluehole Studio and is headquartered in Bundang, Seongnam, Republic of Korea. Krafton has built a strong global presence through its flagship title PUBG Battlegrounds.

HUTECH representatives emphasized the role of Sports Management within the University’s academic ecosystem and viewed esports as an emerging career field requiring the integration of management knowledge, communication, technology, and event organization skills. In a spirit of collaboration, HUTECH proposed several future directions, including the organization of thematic seminars, career orientation sessions for students, enterprise linked experiential activities, and student level esports tournaments aimed at building a practice oriented and well guided learning environment.

After the working session, the Krafton delegation visited HUTECH’s facilities, including institute learning areas, classrooms for the Sports Tourism course for Cohort 25, computer labs, gym facilities, and the central space of the Institute of Culture, Arts, and Sports.
