HUTECH announces 2025 graduate admission – Phase 1 with 16 Master's programs

The Admission Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) announces graduate admission for 2025 – Phase 2, offering 16 master's programs. Application deadline: March 31, 2025.

1. Admission Method: Admission is based on academic records.
Evaluation is based on undergraduate GPA (on a 4.0 scale, rounded to two decimal places). Minimum GPA: 2.00
2. Program Format and Duration:
- Format: Full-time
- Duration: 18 to 24 months
3. Eligibility and Admission Requirements:
- Must have graduated or met graduation requirements from a relevant bachelor's program (or higher). For research-oriented tracks, a "Good" academic standing or relevant published research is required.
- Applicants with degrees in related or different fields must complete prerequisite courses before admission. Supplementary courses will be determined based on the applicant's transcript.
- Must have a foreign language proficiency level of at least Level 3 per the Vietnamese 6-level language proficiency framework.
- Must meet other training program requirements set by the Ministry of Education and Training and HUTECH.
- Clear personal background; must not be under disciplinary action (warning level or higher) or serving a criminal sentence.
- Must be physically fit to study.
- Must submit a complete application by the deadline.
- Degrees granted by foreign institutions must be recognized following guidelines from the Quality Control Department – Ministry of Education and Training

4. Language Requirements:
- Applicants meet the foreign language requirement if they possess:
- A degree in a foreign language major or a degree taught mainly in a foreign language; or
- A certificate equivalent to Level 3 or higher of the Vietnamese 6-level language proficiency framework (or other recognized equivalent certificates still valid at the time of application).
- Applicants who do not meet the language requirement must take the university’s English proficiency test at Level 3.

6. Tuition Fee: Total tuition: VND 75,000,000 for 60–61 credits, paid in 3 semesters

8. Application and Admission Timeline:
8.1. Application period: From the date of announcement until March 31, 2025
- Expected admission result announcement: May 8, 2025
- Expected program start date: May 31, 2025
8.2. Application Fees:
- Prerequisite course fee (if applicable): VND 1,000,000 per course (3 credits)
- Admission application fee: VND 500,000 per applicant
8.3. English Proficiency Test:
- Test prep course fee: VND 1,000,000
- Test fee: VND 500,000 per session
