After a rewarding semester at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), two students from Aditya University (India) have successfully completed their Information Technology exchange program, taking home valuable academic insights, cross cultural experiences, and lasting memories.
To reflect on their academic journey and gather feedback from international students, representatives from HUTECH's Department of International Relations and Project Management met with Visarapu Hema Satya Sri and Priyamwda Rai, who spent the past semester studying at the Institute of International Education under the University's exchange program.

The University's multicultural learning environment was another highlight of their exchange experience. Studying alongside peers from different countries allowed them to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their communication skills, and become more adaptable in an international setting. They also noted that the Information Technology courses effectively balanced academic knowledge with practical application, helping them reinforce their professional foundation while exploring new approaches to learning.
Outside the classroom, Visarapu Hema Satya Sri and Priyamwda Rai had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Vietnamese culture through local cuisine, everyday life, and interactions with HUTECH students. These experiences gave them a deeper understanding of Vietnam while helping them build meaningful friendships and create unforgettable memories.
The program offers opportunities for academic growth, cultural exchange, and global connections
Alongside the many positive experiences, the students also shared some of the challenges they faced during their first weeks in Vietnam, particularly language barriers and differences in communication styles. However, with the support of HUTECH staff and students, they gradually settled into their new environment and adapted quickly to campus life.
A meaningful exchange semester comes to a close
As their exchange semester draws to an end, both students leave HUTECH with positive impressions of the University's learning environment, facilities, and support services for international students. They also suggested expanding opportunities for interaction through international student clubs and peer mentoring initiatives that connect newly arrived exchange students with those who have previously participated in the program, helping future students integrate more smoothly into university life.
