HUTECH strengthens international partnerships through meetings with leading global universities

From November 24 to 30, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed and held working sessions with a number of international partners from the United Kingdom, Korea, China, and India. These meetings opened up new prospects for educational collaboration, academic exchange, and expanded global opportunities for students.
During the week, HUTECH worked with delegations from:

Throughout the meetings, HUTECH representatives and international partners discussed long-term strategic cooperation, highlighting the importance of strengthening academic ties amid rapid changes in global education. Delegates expressed strong interest in student and faculty exchange initiatives, particularly in each institution’s key disciplines; joint education activities that would enable students to study in an international environment; and internship and employment opportunities through extensive enterprise networks in Vietnam and abroad. HUTECH also shared its potential for developing online and hybrid models to support more flexible cross-border exchanges.

The discussions also focused on research collaboration, with both sides aiming to establish joint research groups in engineering, technology, economics, management, languages, and the social sciences. The international partners highly valued HUTECH’s applied research strengths and proposed co-hosting international seminars and thematic workshops to connect faculty, researchers, and students. Both sides agreed that cultural, academic, and short-term exchange activities would contribute to a more deeply internationalized environment at HUTECH.

The delegation from Daejeon City universities (Korea) visited HUTECH during the Global Capstone Design Competition 2025
Beyond the shared directions, several partners introduced more specialized cooperation proposals. For example, Tongji University expressed interest in prioritizing joint research projects in its core strengths: architecture, engineering, and economics–management, and in leveraging both universities’ international faculty.
Meanwhile, IIM Nagpur proposed developing a Visiting Professor initiative and expanding cooperation in IT, marketing, logistics, and international internship placements.

Welcoming such a diverse range of global partners demonstrates HUTECH’s growing appeal in the field of higher education collaboration. These connections help expand the University’s strategic network across Asia and Europe, fostering a dynamic international learning ecosystem that offers students access to global knowledge, technology, and real-world experiences.
