Continuously bringing professional perfromances in preparing and serving dishes, the student group from University of Cergy-Pontoise - France (UCP) and students from the cooperative program between Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH) and UCP have had a chain of interesting exchange activities within the scope of the program’s International Mission, from August 23rd to August 25th, 2018.
Participating the International Mission event, there was Dr. Sebastien le Tacon – Head of the UCP Pole of Gasrtonomy, MA. Ngo Thanh Phuong Quynh – Coordinator of the UCP program at HUTECH, together with 30 students including UCP students and UCP program students at HUTECH.

As part of the International Mission event, the two groups of students took part in exchanging tradition cooking techniques where they demonstrated how to prepare their country’s unique dishes, as well as professional serving skills at the HUTECH PIXEL restaurant.
In their own performances, the French students showed some traditional French cooking techniques such as: Flambe technique in making crepes suzette; fine bone separation and serving techniques for fish dhishes (sole meuniere); slicing and serving techniques for breast of duck, and tips on how to make famous French bread.

Answering the eager expectations of the French friends, the Vietnamese students showed their own talents through a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes from all the regions of Vietnam such as: “Pho” rolls, Hue cakes, spring rolls, and “ginseng water” – a nutritous Vietnamese drink.

By participating the event, aside learning and practicing the preparation of sishes, the two groups of students from UCP and HUTECH also enjoyed moments of exchange and sharing interesting aspects of the culinary cultures of the two countries.
