On the morning of February 28th, the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry at the University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City (HUTECH) welcomed representatives from CTCVAC Company (Korea) to discuss potential cooperation opportunities. During the meeting, the two parties signed an agreement that aims to provide HUTECH students with new learning and research opportunities.

At the meeting, the two parties discussed an upcoming cooperation plan. Specifically, Mr. Tony Sang Min Choi, the Director and vaccine development expert from CTCVAC Company, expressed interest in collaborating with the Faculty on two projects. The first project aims to develop vaccines against IB, a virus that causes infectious pneumonia in chickens. The goal is to identify mutant strains of IBV within Southeast Asian countries, where the virus originated in China, and to establish a virus bank for future vaccine development. The second project involves creating a blood bank for dogs at the Veterinary Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This initiative aims to support sick dogs in need of blood transfusions.

At the Thu Duc Campus, the signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Tony Sang Min Choi, Director, and vaccine development expert of CTCVAC Company; Mr. Hong Woo Tack, poultry expert; and Mr. Lim Tae Hyun, veterinarian and poultry expert. The representatives from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care included Dr. Nguyen Vu Thuy Hong Loan, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine-Livestock; Ms. Vu Hai Yen, Vice Dean of Faculty; and Dr. Nguyen Van Phat, Head of the Veterinary Department.
