Dr. Phung Van Phuc – Lecturer of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), a researcher in the field of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, has recently participated in the Vietnam Global Leaders Forum in Paris, France.

VGLF forum is founded for the global Vietnamese community
Following the success of VGLF 2019, the VGLF forum returns in 2024 with the topic "Vietnam - Rising above the turbulence" bringing together talents from various nations such as Sweden, England, France, the United States, the Netherlands, Korea, Vietnam, Germany, Japan. All of the participants are accomplished and influential members of society, such as university/graduate professors at famous institutions, CEOs or founders of significant firms, monks/lecturers, national coaches, scientists, etc.
Here, the world's leading experts and scientists discussed several concerns about the desire to find ways for Vietnam to "evolve" in a changing world.
Experts discussed issues about solutions to promote Vietnam's development
Dr. Phung Van Phuc, who is presently working at the HUTECH Faculty of Civil Engineering, has had a great influence on the scientific community and is frequently ranked among the world's top scientists. Specifically, for two consecutive years, he has been recognized as the top 1% of scientists in the world in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace; for five consecutive years, he was honored to be on the list of 100,000 most influential scientists in the world and the top 1% of reviewers globally; He continues to maintain his impressive standing with 60 articles published in international journals, indexed in the ISI database in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace.
Dr. Phung is continuously recognized and ranked among the world’s top scientists
Especially, in 2023, Dr. Phung was honored with the “Rising Star” for the second time – The World’s Excellent Scientists Award. Recently, Dr. Phung's team led and won the "EABE Outstanding Paper Award" 2023, which recognizes exceptional publications with the greatest scientific impact in three years (2020-2022). This was the first time a group of Vietnamese authors had achieved such success for the magazine.
Dr. Phung's attendance at the " Vietnam Global Leaders Forum (VGLF)" event demonstrates the growth of academic research in Vietnam in general, and universities in particular.
