HUTECH has successfully organized the first Conference of Young Scientists, Graduate Students, and Doctoral Students in 2024

On April 12th, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) launched the first Conference of Young Scientists, Graduate Students, and Doctoral Students in 2024. This was an opportunity for scientists to discuss scientific research topics, emphasizing the importance of technological transition from theory to practical application.

Attending the event were representatives of Tan Quoc Hung Measurement Technology Co., Ltd (sponsor of the program), Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), Ms. Nguyen Pham Hai Ha – Deputy Director of the Institute of Graduate Education.
HUTECH’s representatives included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Dinh Bay – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ngo Cao Cuong – Vice President, Dr. Ly Thien Trang – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hung – Director of the CIRTech Institute, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet – Head of the Department of Science and Technology - Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, Dr. Le Ngo Ngoc Thu – Vice Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Luan – Vice Head of the Department of Science and Technology.

At the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Dinh Bay shared: “HUTECH now has a broad training scope, with over 60 undergraduate-related majors, 16 master's majors, and three PhD/Doctorate training programs. As a result, this is a suitable environment for assisting graduate students to have a playground to showcase their abilities. We hope that lecturers, young scientists, graduate students, and doctoral students will take advantage of these opportunities to foster scientific research activities. We wish everyone good health and the conference great success”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet briefly introduced an overview of preparing and evaluating scientific papers for the Conference. Specifically, the Conference received 90 articles, after the blind review, 76 articles were published on the ISBN Conference Proceeding. Among those, HUTECH had 64 articles from faculties and institutes. Furthermore, the articles were also published in e-magazines and other conferences. The Conference was divided into 3 sessions, which were the exhibition session with 43 posters, the plenary session with 2 reports, and other sessions at 6 subcommittees (4 reports per committee).

The report sessions brought many valuable research experiences to attendees
The first Conference of Young Scientists, Graduate Students, and Doctoral Students in 2024 is an academic exchange forum to help young scientists have the opportunity to exchange, share experiences, and fulfill their research skills. Ultimately, it helps cultivate knowledge, improve oneself, and contribute to the country's developing education.
