HUTECH and Keimyung University explore new student exchange opportunities

On the morning of September 16, the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Technology (VKIT) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) hosted a session with Keimyung University (Korea) to discuss future student exchange opportunities between the two universities.

Representatives from Keimyung University included Mr. Shin Sangsoo, Senior Coordinator of the International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Cho Hyunwook, Senior Coordinator of the International Relations Department. Representing HUTECH were Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President; Ms. Kwi Jeongwon, Vice Director of VKIT; and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Office of International Cooperation and Project Management.

At the start of the meeting, both sides shared an overview of their universities and previous exchange programs to establish future cooperation directions. On the part of HUTECH, Dr. Ly Thien Trang provided an overview of HUTECH's history, infrastructure, learning environment, cultural activities, and ongoing student exchange programs. Mr. Cho Hyunwook detailed Keimyung's programs and discussed a potential future exchange model, subject to an agreement between the two universities.

To establish a student exchange program with HUTECH, Mr. Shin Sangsoo outlined the scale and operation of several Keimyung programs, highlighting tuition support policies and dormitory accommodations for exchange students.

The meeting created opportunities for HUTECH students to study in Korea in the near future
 
The meeting with Keimyung University opened up numerous prospects for future student exchange cooperation between the two universities. Hopefully, in the near future, HUTECH students will have more opportunities to study and exchange in Korea, experience Korean culture, and move towards greater integration.
