On July 29, students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) immersed themselves in a vibrant international cultural space at the HUTECH Global Festival 2025, themed “Voices of the Future.” This special occasion allowed young people to experience multinational cultures, develop integration skills, and connect with international friends right at their own university.
Organized by the Institute of International Education, the event welcomed numerous business representatives and delegates from countries such as India, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, all of which are long-standing partners of the university. In his opening speech, Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri, Consul of India in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized: “This festival is a wonderful initiative by HUTECH, offering students a rare opportunity to explore global cultures. When entering the international job market, cultural awareness becomes a major competitive advantage, helping students adapt and thrive.”
Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri highly praised the international cultural exchange at HUTECH
A major highlight of the festival was the area featuring 12 cultural booths representing countries such as India, Malaysia, Japan, UK, Germany, USA, France, China, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Each booth was a “miniature painting” of its country, designed, decorated, and presented by students, offering lively, authentic, and locally flavored perspectives.
The 12 booths showcased national identities through student-led design and presentation
HUTECH students wore traditional outfits such as India’s sari, Japan’s kimono, Vietnam’s áo dài, and Korea’s hanbok. They confidently introduced signature cuisines, unique cultural traits, and sustainable development directions of each country. The campus transformed into a cultural convergence point, rich in colors, sounds, and flavors.
Students presented national costumes, cuisine, and cultural highlights in a lively atmosphere
Global cuisine was an essential part of the festival, offering a rich taste experience with standout dishes like Indian curry, German sausages, French crepes, and American hamburgers. Each dish was meticulously prepared and accompanied by engaging student-led presentations, allowing attendees to enjoy and learn about the language and culture of each nation.

Vuong Minh Nguyet, a second-year Business Administration student from the Institute of International Education, shared: “The festival helped me understand more about different cultures through clothing, cuisine, and signature activities. Each booth felt like a new world, revealing the diversity and unique beauty of each culture. It was a valuable experience that broadened my perspective and prepared me for future integration.”
