HUTECH concludes AUN-QA assessment for four Master’s Degree programmes

After three days of open and transparent work, the assessment of four Master’s degree programs under AUN-QA standards, including Economic Law, Civil Engineering, English Language, and Tourism and Travel Management, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) officially concluded on the morning of August 14.
 
 
At the ceremony, the AUN-QA delegation and HUTECH reviewed the assessment process through a video presentation showcasing activities such as campus tours at the university’s facilities, interview sessions with stakeholders (including leaders of units, faculties, self-assessment report writing teams, lecturers, support staff, students, alumni, and employers), and other related activities.

During the event, the assessment team presented a preliminary report on the evaluation results of the four Master’s degree programmes under the AUN-QA criteria: Economic Law, Civil Engineering, English Language, and Tourism and Travel Management.

For each programme, the experts highlighted strengths such as: well-invested and modern facilities (a large library, high-speed internet connection, fully equipped classrooms with teaching support tools, etc.); a dedicated and experienced faculty team; positive feedback from learners on teaching quality and the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process throughout the programme; many graduates from the Master of Civil Engineering programme now serving as lecturers at other educational institutions; programmes that are regularly reviewed and improved to promptly meet societal trends and stakeholder needs; and more.

In addition to maintaining existing strengths, the assessment team also identified areas for improvement and offered practical recommendations to address these issues and enhance teaching quality for the four programmes in the future.
