Strategic meetings in international education not only open up cooperation programs but also lay the foundation for long term connections in knowledge exchange, research, and sustainable development.
On December 16, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with representatives of Southern Cross University (SCU), one of Australia’s reputable public universities, to discuss directions for future cooperation in training and research.

Previously, HUTECH and SCU had held discussions focusing on a 2 plus 2 joint program, creating a foundation for students to access an international learning environment. At this meeting, both sides continued to identify common ground and strong cooperation potential, particularly in high demand fields such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, and civil engineering.
Representatives of HUTECH shared that the University is currently implementing a training orientation aligned with artificial intelligence and sustainable development, integrating these elements across its academic offerings. In addition, HUTECH has a team of lecturers and researchers with strong international publications, including many ranked among the top one percent and two percent of the world’s most influential scientists. This provides a solid foundation for academic and research collaboration.
The two institutions discussed potential joint research projects in areas of shared strengths
Building on their respective strengths, both sides discussed potential cooperation initiatives including student and faculty exchange, joint scientific research, participation in and implementation of international projects, and co-organization of international conferences and seminars in key fields. The two universities also expressed their intention to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to serve as a foundation for concrete cooperation programs in the future.
