Recently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a working session with Jeju National University (JNU) from the Republic of Korea, to discuss opportunities to expand academic and career pathways for students.
During the meeting, HUTECH and JNU held in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation, focusing on leveraging their respective strengths and addressing the growing demand for high quality human resources.

The two institutions particularly focused on discussing cooperation possibilities in four key fields including Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Agriculture, and Biomaterials. These are all high potential disciplines closely linked to the needs of sustainable social development and well aligned with HUTECH’s applied education orientation and long-term development strategy.

JNU students visit HUTECH facilities
Beyond academic cooperation, HUTECH and JNU also aim to implement multi-level cooperation programs, including education, faculty and student exchanges, scholarships, and international career orientation. According to the plan, exchange programs are expected to be launched from next year, creating conditions for HUTECH lecturers and students to access international standard educational environments and move toward signing and implementing global projects.

Jeju National University was established in 1952 and is a representative educational symbol of the Republic of Korea’s iconic island. With more than 70 years of history, the university currently has over 600 professors and associate professors and 11,000 students, including undergraduate and postgraduate levels, forming a diverse and dynamic academic community. JNU offers a wide range of academic programs across many key disciplines, from traditional fields such as Humanities, Education, Law, and Economics to leading engineering and natural science fields such as Biomedical Science, Marine Science, Agriculture, and Tourism.
