Building the future through international integration: 15 years of the Institute of International Education

From its early stages, the Institute of International Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has developed steadily as a link between Vietnamese education and international academic environments. Through continuous improvement and the expansion of international partnerships, the Institute has worked to align its educational practices with global standards, contributing to the development of a skilled and internationally oriented workforce.

Within this context, the ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of the Institute, held on 10 January under the theme “Forging the Future: Bridging the Borders,” served as an opportunity to review key milestones while reaffirming the Institute’s strategic direction and core values in international education and sustainable development.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam, Vice Chair of the University Board of Directors, expressed appreciation for the contributions of former and current leaders, faculty members, and partners who have supported the Institute since its establishment. Their efforts helped shape the Institute’s international orientation and supported its gradual development within the higher education system.

Looking ahead, Dr. Nguyen Chi Thang, Director of the Institute of International Education, noted that the achievements of the past 15 years reflect sustained collaboration and continuous improvement. He emphasized that these outcomes provide a foundation for further innovation, expanded international partnerships, and ongoing efforts to enhance student learning experiences in response to changes in global education.

In addition, Pham Hoang Giang, a second-year student majoring in Automotive Engineering, received a scholarship during the event. This initiative acknowledged academic effort and reflected the Institute’s commitment to supporting students and investing in future generations.
