With just VND 154 million, travel-loving young people can now pursue a full university degree in Tourism and Travel Management through a well-structured, practical academic program that prepares them to succeed in this high-potential industry.
This is a special tuition policy from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) for Gen Z students who are passionate about Tourism and Travel Management, applicable in the 2025 admissions season.
A bright future with affordable tuition
Accompanying students throughout their academic journey, HUTECH upholds a transparent tuition policy, publicly announced before the course begins and guaranteed not to increase during the entire program. To celebrate its 30th anniversary (April 26, 1995 – April 26, 2025), the university offers the HUTECH Scholarship, which covers 25% of total tuition fees, to all candidates nationwide whose average score in three subjects from the first semester of 12th grade is 20 or higher. Registration is open until May 31, 2025, via the university’s website.
After applying the HUTECH Scholarship, the tuition fee for the 2025 intake of the Tourism and Travel Management program (3.5 years, 14 semesters) is VND 11 million per semester, totaling VND 154 million for the entire program. This affordable fee structure allows every student to pursue their career dreams in a high-quality learning environment without undue financial burden.
HUTECH announces a special tuition policy for students passionate about Tourism and Travel Management
The undergraduate program at HUTECH is designed with four academic semesters per year (each semester lasting about 10 weeks), ensuring outstanding teaching quality at a reasonable cost. Tuition is collected each semester based on the number of credits registered (approximately 9 credits), which helps ease the financial pressure per payment and allows students to focus on building their professional knowledge and skills.
Learn through experience and get ready for a promising tourism career
As part of the service industry, Tourism and Travel Management requires not only strong professional knowledge but also the ability to apply that knowledge practically to create unique travel experiences that meet various customer needs. To that end, HUTECH adopts a “learn while traveling” approach, helping students master tourism geography and the cultural-historical background of different regions while gaining hands-on experience in tour guiding and operations.
HUTECH students join tour trips to strengthen professional skills
This journey begins with city tours - short field trips to cultural landmarks and tourist sites in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby areas - then expands to longer excursions to the Mekong Delta, Central Vietnam, and the Central Highlands. During these trips, students practice a wide range of tasks such as front desk operations, customer service, tour planning and execution, communication, tour guiding, entertainment, problem-solving, and practical knowledge of accommodation, marketing, law, transportation, customs and immigration procedures, and human resource management.
Beyond tour practice, another highlight of HUTECH’s Tourism and Travel Management program is its focus on new industry trends. Courses like E-commerce in Tourism, MICE Tourism, and Sustainable Tourism Development equip students with skills to effectively leverage technology and social media in tourism, as well as design customized tours for specific market segments.
Stay updated on emerging trends in tourism development
Through these experiences, students gain a solid understanding of tourism operations, develop specialized skills, and build a proactive mindset, confidence, professionalism, and the ability to handle workplace pressure. This foundation prepares young people to confidently enter the service industry and thrive as outstanding tour guides, managers, tour designers, or operations specialists in the future.
