“Dream Station” – A multi-dimensional portrait of Saigon by HUTECH Tourism and Hospitality students

Saigon life - where simplicity meets splendor - creates a vibrant and colorful tapestry. With the desire to explore this multifaceted beauty and reflect the dreams of ordinary people, students from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the event “Trạm Mơ” (Dream Station) on January 9. The event featured a creative blend of music and theater.
“Dream Station” brought together music and theatrical performance in a creative format
This activity was part of the students’ Event Management course. The program opened with a vibrant performance of the song Sài Gòn đẹp lắm (Saigon is So Beautiful) by the band Chillfan. With powerful vocals and dynamic energy, the performance immediately drew the audience into a joyful and colorful artistic atmosphere.

Next, the contemporary dance piece Fake Love by Keiko’s Kibou dance crew delivered an emotional story through a fusion of soft and strong movements, expressing the deep inner conflicts and complex emotions of love. The harmony of lighting, music, and the dancers’ expressive choreography created a moving and immersive art experience.
The show continued with a theatrical performance portraying the simple yet meaningful life of Thanh, a young woman living in a modest Saigon rental, fueled by her burning dream of becoming an artist. However, behind the city’s dazzling lights lie the struggles of those striving to find their place. Thanh’s journey reflects not only the pursuit of her dreams but also paints a vivid picture of Saigon as a place where hardships and hope intertwine.

The program's atmosphere came alive with a series of artistic performances, including Những điều nhỏ nhoi (Little Things), Những kẻ mộng mơ (Dreamers), Đã hơn một lần (More Than Once), Hương vị tình thân (Flavors of Love), Để tôi ôm em bằng giai điệu này (Let Me Hold You with This Melody), Dưới ánh hào quang (Under the Spotlight), Cứ chill thôi (Just Chill), and a dance number by the Lisou crew. These vibrant, romantic, and uplifting pieces inspired the audience with messages of confidence, optimism, and the determination to rise above life’s challenges.

The event, fully organized and executed by HUTECH students, from concept development to on-site coordination, was a resounding success. More than just an artistic celebration, Dream Station delivered a meaningful message about belief in life, the strength to chase dreams, and the power of resilience. No matter how complex or challenging life in Saigon may be, with determination and willpower, we all have the ability to reach our dreams.
